Francesco Anselmi is an Italian documentary photographer whose work explores the complexities of borders, identity, and social change across Europe and the United States. A graduate of the International Center of Photography in New York, he has been a two-time finalist for the Leica Oskar Barnack Award and received the Visa d’Or for Daily Press in 2019. His long-term projects, including Borderlands and his coverage of the Greek economic crisis, have been published internationally and exhibited at major festivals such as Visa Pour l’Image and Les Rencontres d’Arles. Anselmi is a member of the Contrasto agency and splits his time between Italy and the U.S.
