Gary Holpin (UK)

Landscape Photographer

Gary is a professional photographer based in the county of Devon in the South West of England, and a leading Devon photographer for landscapes. His interest in photography began ten years ago, but it soon developed into a passion which has now become his full-time profession.
He spent many years in the South East of England, a long way from the coast, so it seems rather ironic to now be particularly well known for his seascape photography! Having started his career as a scientist and spending 30 years working for the Met Office in mainly science and technical roles, it was rather a surprise for him that he also had hidden talent for photography that he only discovered in his 40’s!
A few years later he find himself as a professional photographer, widely published and with landscape photos which have won national awards. But he does much more than landscape , providing photography training to businesses & individuals  on how to take beautiful photographs.

Rain Hayes (USA)

UV - IR Photographer & KelbyOne Instructor
Rain lives in the San Francisco Bay Area, where a huge variety of glorious landscapes beckon to her camera daily. Stunning redwood forests, rugged coastline, vineyard-lined valleys and gently rolling hills provide endless exploration and creative opportunities. She developed a deep appreciation for the natural landscape at an early age. Nothing has ever suited her better than an all-day wander across the countryside, using her camera to compose a vision of the perfect world.
Rain began experimenting with infrared photography a few years ago. The first pictures she made were of the magnificent grounds of the Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco. The photos had a ghostly, antique look: the serpentine lagoon appeared black and still; the weeping willow looked like a giant, pure white powder puff. The overall effect was mesmerizing, and she was hooked on the surreal, uncanny aesthetic. Today, the infrared effect continues to captivate Rain. The medium allows her to develop her vision of soft, dreamy landscapes that suggest a slightly fantastical view of the world around us: real, but unreal. Using infrared photography to reveal the strange beauty that lies just outside our natural vision feels like a tremendous gift.

His award-winning photograph, ‘Storm Warning’, is a striking depiction of the harsh realities of climate change, impacting the coast and islands of the UK.

Shelly Corbett (USA)

Toy Photographer

I invite you into those forgotten worlds through my toy-based photography. My photo subjects used to be human. Now they’re two inches tall and made of plastic. (Not only do they have more fun but they behave better, too!) Using various photographic and lighting techniques, props and special lenses, I create dreamy worlds for my tiny subjects where LEGO and their mini figures have always been a family favorite.

I dove into this delightful toy photography world and never looked back. I discovered that we can’t afford to lose our sense of play and wonder. With toys as subjects, I can also explore a range of emotions that often seem out of reach.
