"Ian Berry: The Boy Who Wanted To See The World"
Greetings and welcome back to the show! Sometimes all it takes to change your life is buying a one-way ticket. For some, it means leaving En...

Tom Jacob (Spain) is a Belgian-born Nikon photographer and host of The Camera Café Show. He received his first camera at the age of 12, build a darkroom in his parent's attic and, long before the internet, spent hours in the local library discovering photography and studying the work of photographers. By 15, he was already taking on his first paid photography assignments. Tom later studied film at the St. Lukas Institute in Brussels, majoring in documentary storytelling while continuing to develop his photography alongside his filmmaking.
After more than three decades with a camera, Tom founded The Camera Café Show as a place for warm, curious conversations about photography and life. Through stories from photographers around the world, the podcast looks beyond cameras and settings to explore the experiences, ideas and unexpected journeys behind the images. Whether behind the camera or the microphone, his aim remains the same: to encourage people to look more closely, keep learning and find inspiration for their own photography journey.
As a teenager, Ian Berry left England to see the world. A few years later, he had joined Magnum Photos and would go on to spend more than six decades documenting people, places, and some of history's defining moments with his Leica. Together we travel across continents and through more than sixty ye...

War doesn't end when the photograph is taken. For many people, that's where the story begins. In Part 2 of this special two-part conversation, I once again sit down with Ukrainian photojournalists Oksana Parafeniuk and Iva Sidash. While Part 1 focused on home, and their personal journeys in photogra...
For most photojournalists, war is something they travel to. For others, it's the reality of the place they call home. In Part 1 of this special two-part conversation, I sit down with Ukrainian photojournalists Oksana Parafeniuk and Iva Sidash. Iva was on our show in 2023, one year after the Russian ...

Style is easy to imitate. Voice is something else entirely. “Elvis has left the building…” — and somewhere after the stage lights went dark, a camera slowly took the place of the rabbit and the magician’s hat. In this first part of my conversation with David duChemin, we explore the unusual path that took him from performing comedy shows, juggling bananas, a...

This might be the most creative type of photography you’re ignoring 📷 Not because it’s complicated— but because it doesn’t follow the rules of reality at all.
