That’s exactly where my conversation with photographer Daniel Murray begins.
Back in 2024, Daniel was named Youth Photographer of the Year at the Sony World Photography Awards—a huge achievement that started in a very simple way: picking up a camera, experimenting, and learning by doing.
Based in Scotland, Daniel developed his own way of seeing early on, creating images that focus on mood, simplicity, and storytelling—something that clearly stood out on a global stage.
We talk about that moment of winning, the story behind the image, and what it felt like to step onto such a big stage at such a young age. 🏆
