Nancy Borowick is an internationally recognized documentary photographer, author, speaker, and educator whose work explores themes of family, illness, grief, and resilience. She is best known for The Family Imprint, a deeply personal project documenting her parents through their simultaneous battles with cancer — a body of work that has been exhibited worldwide and published as a book.

A regular contributor to The New York Times, Nancy’s photography is rooted in empathy, trust, and long-form storytelling. With a background in anthropology and photojournalism, she approaches each project with care and humility, seeking meaningful connection with her subjects.

Beyond her personal work, Nancy is a passionate educator and speaker, using her experiences to foster dialogue around loss, healing, and the power of visual storytelling. She currently lives with her family on the island of St. John, where she continues to explore new creative directions — including projects driven purely by joy.
