Martin Bailey

Martin Bailey (Japan) is a British-born nature and wildlife photographer, educator and podcaster based in Tokyo. Through his photography, international tours and workshops, he shares a deep appreciation for the natural world while helping photographers develop their creative vision and experience the landscapes and wildlife of Japan and other remarkable places around the globe.

A pioneer in photography blogging and podcasting, Martin is the creator and host of The Martin Bailey Photography Podcast, one of the longest-running photography podcasts. Through hundreds of episodes, he has shared stories from the field, creative and technical insights, and experiences from his travels, building an international community of photographers along the way.

Martin’s work has been licensed and published internationally by organizations including Canon, Popular Photography, X-Rite and Korean Air. Alongside creating and exhibiting his own photography, he leads tours, workshops and educational programs that encourage others to strengthen both their photographic skills and their connection with the natural world.
