Brian Matthews (b. 1978, United Kingdom) is a renowned climate change and wildlife photographer based in the UK. With over two decades of experience behind the lens, Brian has dedicated much of his recent work to documenting the impacts of climate change on the UK’s coastlines and islands. His passion for the natural world has led him to spend extensive time in the waters surrounding the UK, as well as in the remote regions of South Georgia and the Falkland Islands, where he spent a month last year capturing the fragile ecosystems that are most vulnerable to environmental changes.

Brian has been recognized on multiple occasions in the prestigious Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition, achieving success three times, most recently in 2023. His award-winning photograph, ‘Storm Warning’, is a striking depiction of the harsh realities of climate change, impacting the coast and islands of the UK.
