Andrew Fusek Peters

Andrew Fusek Peters (UK) is an award-winning wildlife and landscape photographer, author and OM SYSTEM Brand Ambassador whose work celebrates the beauty, movement and extraordinary diversity of the British natural world. After a successful career as a poet and children’s author, Andrew turned his creative attention toward photography, bringing a storyteller’s imagination and an experimental eye to the wildlife found around him.

Working largely across the British countryside, Andrew is known for developing inventive ways of capturing fleeting moments that are often difficult to see with the human eye. From butterflies and birds in flight to insects, garden wildlife, landscapes and the night sky, his photographs combine technical experimentation with patience, curiosity and a deep knowledge of the natural world.

His work has appeared extensively in national newspapers and magazines, with more than 800 photographs, features and cover stories published by titles including The Guardian, The Times, BBC Wildlife, Country Life and Amateur Photographer. His images have also received recognition in numerous national and international photography competitions.

Andrew spent five years documenting all 59 species of butterfly found in the United Kingdom for his book Butterfly Safari, creating an intimate celebration of their beauty, behavior and increasingly fragile habitats. His later book, Garden Safari, turns the camera closer to home, revealing the remarkable wildlife that can be discovered in gardens and other familiar spaces when we slow down and learn how to look.

Through his photography, books, talks and educational work, Andrew encourages others to experiment creatively and appreciate the wildlife living around them. By revealing extraordinary moments in ordinary places, he hopes to inspire greater curiosity about the natural world and a deeper desire to protect it.
