Richard Clark

Richard Clark (UK) is a music and events photographer with a passion for capturing the energy, atmosphere and character of live performance. Drawn to photography’s ability to preserve emotion and human connection, Richard is interested not only in the artists on stage, but also in the audiences, venues and moments that bring the complete story of a live event to life.

His journey into music photography began while documenting an event for a mental health charity. Inspired by the musicians, changing lights and energy of the crowd, he soon became fascinated by the challenge of working in the fast-paced and unpredictable world of live music. With support and encouragement from music promoter Will Robinson and fellow photographers, Richard built his portfolio through local gigs, venues and festivals before going on to photograph established artists and bands.

Since 2019, Richard’s photography and writing have appeared in music publications and led to commissions from music PR companies. His work has also been featured in exhibitions, and he won the Harrogate Photographic Society’s Counter Trophy in both 2019 and 2020. Whether working in color or black and white, Richard aims to capture the personality of the performers and the excitement of being part of a live show.

Alongside his photography, Richard is a producer and occasional co-host of The Camera Café Show, bringing his love of music, photography and storytelling — together with his unmistakable British humor — to the conversations.
