Moose Peterson

Moose Peterson is a wildlife, aviation and landscape photographer, educator and visual storyteller whose work celebrates the beauty of our natural world. Always generous with his knowledge, he has spent more than four decades sharing his experience and inspiring photographers along the way. Moose turned professional in 1981 and was also one of the early photographers to fully embrace digital photography.

Together with his wife, Sharon, Moose has dedicated much of his life to the education and protection of North America’s wild heritage. Along the way, he has become a Nikon USA Ambassador, received the John Muir Conservation Award, served as a Research Associate with the Endangered Species Recovery Program and been recognized as a Nikon Legend Behind the Lens, to name just a few of his achievements. He is also the author of 29 books, has been published in numerous magazines and hosts his own podcast.
