Gareth Jones

Gareth Mon Jones (UK) is a self-taught landscape and astrophotographer based in Llangefni on the beautiful Isle of Anglesey, North Wales. Although his photography spans everything from landscapes to weddings, astrophotography remains his greatest passion.

Gareth first picked up photography seriously in 2014, at the age of 34, and quickly discovered a passion he had never expected. Photography opened his eyes to the beauty of his own country and encouraged him to explore the diverse landscapes, rugged coastlines and dark skies of Anglesey, Snowdonia and the wider North Wales region. Whether working during the day or beneath the stars, he is constantly learning, experimenting and looking for new ways to capture the landscape around him.

Photography has taken Gareth further than he ever imagined, but one of the things he enjoys most is helping others develop their own skills and confidence behind the camera. Through photography workshops in the UK and overseas, he shares his knowledge, enthusiasm and love of the outdoors while encouraging others to discover new ways of seeing and photographing the world around them.
